About the film:
Idiocracy is a 2006 comedy produced and directed by Mike Judge, the creator of “Beavis and Butthead.” The film's story is about an ordinary person who gets frozen for 500 years in a military experiment and wakes up to an America run by mindless consumerism. The film was squelched immediately upon its release for shedding a negative light on corporate America. It initially opened in only seven cities and was never aired on network TV. It became a cult favorite after being released on DVD but still ended up in the bargain bin. The film is getting renewed scrutiny today in light of the Trump candidacy and dysfunctional congress. A popular meme on Facebook refers to it as the comedy that turned into a documentary. Come join us before you vote and find out what it is all about!

What is Monday Mayhem?
On the first Monday of every month, the Flying Squirrel hosts special programming that forgoes the technical and logistical concerns of running an open-use community space in order to take a closer look at the impact of our actions on the community and our potential as a catalyst for change.
