Events: Guidelines for Political Meetups

Sometimes we get requests for events related to political candidates along the lines of “Rochester for Jane Doe 3054”. These are a bit tricky since the Flying Squirrel Community Space (FSCS) is a federally recognized 501(c)3 public charity not to mention that many of us don't support electoral politics in general. However, we do want to have these events, with the following guidelines:

1. Both our calendar and their promotional materials that mention the FSCS should say: “The Flying Squirrel Community Space does not endorse any political candidates or parties.”
2. We ask them not to leave any campaign literature at the space.
3. We ask for our typical cost for a group meeting: $25 or pass the hat at the very least.
