Our friend and comrade Max Richmond died last week. I want to celebrate his life in a way that would have brought him joy. We need to come together to mourn, to work, to celebrate, and to make sure none of us loses another friend.

Tentative plan for the day:

Music.
We need bands to come and play. If you're willing, contact me.

Food.
If you can bring a dish to pass, contact me.

Celebration.
We will have Rochester's very first No Talent Show. Do you juggle? Write poems? Can you lick your eyeball? Life is absurd and short and beautiful, so come out and show your weird talents to the world. But don't try to hula hoop with four hoops at once. That's what I'm doing.

Preventing another loss.
There will be narcan kits available and a narcan training. I know it will be really hard, but we should all take part.

Max planned on joining Kurdish fighters who are taking on Isis, and all proceeded from this event will be used to buy anti-coagulants and high quality field dressings for the soldiers of Rojava.
