A gathering of local poets will read poems by great American poets to celebrate the rich legacy of African-American poetry: we'll read poems by Lucille Clifton, Langston Hughes, Gwendolyn Brooks, Maya Angelou, Cornelius Eady, Nikki Giovanni and others, comment on them, then read original poems.

Event organized by Just Poets, a local non-profit community arts group founded in 2004.
