The Déjàview Film series a project of Rochester Democratic Socialists of America. It is an occasional, irreverent film series that is (mostly) an excuse to get-together and watch (mostly) ridiculous movies with socialist implications. We're watching yesterday's movies today, through a socialist lens.

We propose to watch Rollerball (1975) - What did 2018 look like to people in 1975? For starters, governments are obsolete, a handful of companies run the world, and libraries can only offer edited summaries of texts. Come see what the filmmakers got right, and what they got wrong. Rollerball also offers, arguably, the best-ever footage of a fake sport.
