Black Rose members are starting a solidarity committee for the Incarcerated Workers Organizing Committee (IWOC) of the Industrial Workers of the World (IWW). IWOC works to strategically connect and support organizing efforts of people who are imprisoned. This work runs against the inherent exploitation of the Prison Industrial Complex and includes, for example, letter writing, prison and public outreach, and the creation of literature. The committee will be open to all interested parties, not just Black Rose members. We would like to hold a general interest meeting at the Squirrel to garner more support in this work. Thanks!
