Consent 201: Getting Beyond the Basics

Often the term consent is believed merely to encompass permission related to sexual activity. Though this aspect of the conversation is important and necessary, it is only one piece of the story. Consent is a highly personal ideology, influenced by lived experience and aspects of identity. Facilitators will build upon attendees’ lived experiences through discussion and interactive activities. We aim for attendees to leave with a greater understanding of consent as it relates to sexual activity as well as everyday interactions.
