Mothers Out Front, in collaboration with Green For All, Clean Energy Works and Chispa are launching an exciting and scalable campaign to push local school districts to commit to replacing their retiring dirty diesel buses with clean and quiet electric school buses.

The first and most important barrier to transitioning to clean electric school buses is the cost. Electric school buses cost 2 to 3 times more than diesel buses. However, in partnership with the non-profit Clean Energy Works, this can be overcome! And school districts can save money, while ensuring their children ride safe and clean buses. This is what’s so exciting and makes these local electric school bus campaigns winnable and scalable.

Attend this #FuelChange for electric school buses information session, presented by Neely Kelley, to learn more about this exciting campaign!

About Neely:
Neely has been engaged in the climate movement since she moved to Rochester in 2013 - pushing for a swift, just, and complete transition off fossil fuels. She has worked on local and statewide campaigns pushing for large scale wind development, stopping gas infrastructure, stopping Bakken Oil trains, and ensuring low and middle income New Yorkers have affordable access to energy efficiency and community solar programs. She is now thrilled to be leading the campaign for local electric school buses. She grew up in Greenville, South Carolina, but now calls Rochester, NY home with her husband Doug and their two daughters.
